Pink

The acacia trees are in bloom filling gardens with lush pink branches and a lovely fragrance.

  1. Lovely! While the blossom form is quite different, the leaves on the Acacia tree in your photo are very similar to a tree we find here in Arkansas, the Mimosa; also known as Silk Tree or Silky Acacia. Many folk think of it as a "trash tree" for it is a prolific seeder, has rapid growth, and quite often plants itself where it is not wanted. Despite all that,I think they are beautiful, and the blossoms, which are like pink pom-poms, have a delicate and very pleasing fragrance.

  2. I'm always telling my gardener that a weed is just a flower in the wrong place. I love the acacias.
