Hookahs for all

Waterpipes, hookahs, shishas...all of them names for the smoking implements that "filter" the smoke through the water and are so popular in Egyptian coffee shops. Not being a smoker, I can't verify that they cool the smoke, but being an ex-health teacher, I can verify that the smoke definitely isn't cleaned in any way. Nevertheless, the glass bottles and metal tops make a lovely pattern.

They do make for a fantastic photo. Are they very popular?

I don't know if it's true, but i heard that one hookah is the same as 20 cigarettes.

Whenever I pass men smoking the hookah in the Old City I can never take it seriously, because it reminds me of the hookah-puffing caterpillar in "Alice in Wonderland" asking "Who-o-o are you?"
Nice picture of so many of them.

A beautiful image indeed! As a pipe smoker myself, I always admired the hookah. I have only had the opportunity to try them three times, and each time was extremely pleasant and enjoyable!

Thank you for the photograph. It is indeed, very pleasant to view. If you are of a mind to, and get the opportunity in the future, it would additionally be pleasant to see some of the fellows in the hookah coffee houses, it would, I think make for excellent "people" photographs to accompany your other images with people.

Thank you, again!
