Driving in Egypt is a non-stop parade of what NOT to do on the roads. This time a young man was happily reclining on some lumber in the back of a pickup truck. With a sudden acceleration, the wood and the young man could have been on the asphalt, but we didn't stay to find out.

Being in a car in egypt was quite scary most of the time. I was also terrified every time we had to cross the street.

We're new to your blog. Love the way you introduce culture into your pictures. What do you enjoy most about living in Egypt? What do you miss most about living in the USA? How long did it take for you to become fluent in Arabic. We love getting the insider's view about all these cities in the city daily photo blogs!!!!
I've been here almost 21 years now and don't really miss much at all. I had a tough first year learning Arabic but I really like talking to people so it was very necessary.
