Creative travel should be the motto of the Egyptian road. When there is no room in the minvan, just stand on the bumper.

Hang on tightly boys!! I never see that in Eagan, Minnesota. I saw it in India in February!
That looks terribly dangerous!
I hope the driver takes it nice and easy.
I found your blog completely by accident, and have been scrolling through it, looking at your pictures and reading your stories. I visited Egypt as a tourist about 10 years ago and I thought it was the most fascinating place I had ever visited, with the wild traffic in Cairo, and the feluccas on the Nile, and ancient monuments everywhere.... I loved every minute of my stay there. I'd love to return, although I don't think it's very likely.
So I'll be coming back to your blog and reading more!
This is a very common sight in the Philippines as well. :D The common mode of public transportation there are called Jeepneys.
I wonder how many car manufacturers thought "hmm.... we should make this bumper strong... strong enough to hold 4 people standing on it!!"
