Riding With Grandma
I guess it's sort of kids week. I was out riding today and we came up behind a tiny boy riding double on a donkey behind his grandmother. She was carrying water to men working in the fields.
I love this sight. It takes me back to a rural town my friend and I passed through on the way to another city from Cairo. It also takes me back to my childhood when I spent the summer at my grandparents' farm in the Philippines. I would choose to live in a rural area, too.
A necessary chore and wonderful memory.
