This marvelous object/piece of sculpture/whatever was just sitting there on the lawn of a local horse farm. A gold star to whoever can tell everyone what it is.

I used to work at an Arabian horse stud, and this looks exactly like the "mare dummy" used to assist with the uhm, "collections" from stallions...
it looks like a rudimentary sculpture of a sheep... or at least how my 7 year old would do it.

Yes... I'd say a mare dummy, though I've never seen one decorated with a horse head! Maybe it's more attractive to the stallions : )
It is, in fact, a mounting dummy for the stallions for artificial insemination...but such a nice looking one. Almost like a piece of modern sculpture.
