The Cowherd

I finally was able to ask one family where they came from and how they got the cows to our area. I'd been told that they came from as far away as Damietta on the Mediterranean coast. The man I spoke to told me that they truck their cows in from Bilbeis on the road to Ismailia to graze on the corn fields after the harvest.

I like this picture a lot. The boy looks like his lively and fun, and it seems so hot and dusty on the background. What is the weather like over there? I'm in Helsinki and its raining.

Send rain! Hot, a bit more humid than necessary, and rather miserable with a high of 40.

OK, that makes sense. Mystery solved. Thanks for your detective work.

40?! Oi! Even high altitude Jerusalem is suffering at 34 and unusual humidity this week.
Good luck to you. Summer can't last forever...

@Dina. I wish summer does last forever. I don't want the snow that winter brings :-(

I wish you rain! Would you mind if I put a link to your blog in mine?
