The coffee shop on the garden level of the Marriott Hotel in Zamalek is an extraordinary sight. The palace that forms the administrative center of the hotel was built for the opening of the Suez Canal and shows some of the most amazing word and brass work in Cairo.

This looks like an interesting place - full of character.
I would imagine it's nice to stop here on a hot afternoon and take an iced tea or coffee...
This looks fantastic! Amazing ceiling and lamp too.
back in the early '90's I spent many an afternoon drinking tea here. It still looks beautiful.
