Mothers and Daughters

I love the interactions between mothers and their children. I miss my own who are now adults leading interesting lives abroad.

So touching. It is always interesting to see the mother daughter shots where the daughter is not yet covering her head. At what age does that happen? The ceremony must be elaborate.

It isn't a ceremonial thing. Girls often choose to wear a scarf at about twelve or fourteen or so, sometimes younger, pretty much on their own. In some cases there might be some peer or family pressure to wear it at a certain age. It's very individual.
