Cup Of Tea? Waterpipe?

The horse fair refreshment stand at the horse fair is a tiny bit spare. But it got lots of business from the buyers and sellers of horses, donkeys, and equipment get thirsty bargaining.

I love your images of people at work. The work setting and style is so different from what we're used to in the US. It's always illuminating to visit your blog.

Hey, I heard that in Cairo, I think, that some male hair stylists were forced to stop styling womens hair, based on efforts toward more Islamic orthodoxy. I could be wrong. Is that true? Has it even been a big deal or is our media blowing something out of proportion?

Utter rubbish. Most of the hairstylists in Egypt are men and the women would rise up in revolt if they were told that men couldn't do their hair. The nonsense that appears in the press never fails to amaze me. That is why I began blogging.
