On The Job Learning

Ever wonder how those horses learn to stay calm in Cairo traffic that leaves us humans screaming and tearing our hair? They start out young, walking along with mom to see what the job is all about. By the time they are old enough to pull a wagon, they've seen it all. I guess that's how Cairo drivers learn to cope as well.

That horse on the right is laden down ith all his strapping, etc. What would he normally pull?

I've heard the best travelers are the ones whose parents take them along regularly from an early age. A life lesson perhaps.

The mare on the right would be hauling that wooden cart they are standing next to. Baby will trot along next to her.

What a wise, patient, gentle and effortless way to train the horses to tolerate the chaos. Good life lessons, there. Thank you for this post.
