From Bag To Rope

While out riding the other day we encountered one of the elderly fellaheen sitting making rope out of strips of feed bags. Many people sell the whole bags to recyclers and the plastic recyclers will take torn ones, but this is the first time I've seen them turned into rope.

Good idea. But the rope is probably far from smooth, eh?
Your fallach reminds me of how my grandmother made round rag rugs, tearing strips of old cloth, braiding them, and sewing them together.

Thank you. This is so interesting.

Very resourceful. When I first read the title, I thought it was the other way around, from rope to bag - I thought it was about weaving.
