A Good Day To Stay Home

Well, there was a general strike called, but the morning itself was enough to keep me indoors. It's a pretty close call whether politics or concern for one's lungs caused a lot of empty streets today. I've heard that the traffic was wonderful for a change.

Hi Maryanne,
I don't think I ever commented on your blog before but I just wanted to tell you that I've been following your posts for the past weeks and really enjoying it. What a fascinating country you live in!
Was it a dust storm giving this yellow light in your photo?

Greetings from Provence!

A general strike! That's a pretty big deal. Not bad timing too, it sounds.

Lovely picture, and like Nathalie, I'm enjoying the commentary just as much!

That yellow light is the effect of about a million tons of desert dust floating in the air and landing on my dining room table!

Your photographs are, as they usually are, quite nice and the posts are interesting to read.

Did you ever see a tiny fly hanging on the edge of a honey bee's wing?

Abraham Lincoln in Brookville, Ohio had a picture of one that he took.

You can blame the present dust storm that our region is sharing on us Israelis. It happens because next week is Passover! This yellow loess blows in every year just in time to undo the mandated spring Passover cleaning efforts in every home here.
But it never occurred to me to try to photograph the stuff. Good one, Maryanne.
